Dr. Jodi-Ann S. Edwards, Chief Resident in General Surgery at Downstate Health Sciences University since 2017, is set to begin her Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins in 2026. Born in Jamaica and raised in South Florida, she now calls Brooklyn, NY home. A proud mother to her adult son, she is also a dedicated gardener and a faithful Christian. Dr. Edwards is deeply passionate about equity in medicine, using her platform to mentor, inspire, and elevate diverse voices.
